Etude House September/October Pink Box

Yea, so this post took AGES to prepare since it's so long and pic-heavy, hence the delay. But I assure you that it is one that you don't want to miss :D I received the Etude House Pink Box late September, but its got a few products all prepared for the coming Halloween! :) The Etude House Pink Box contained its usual Pink Letter, a few BB Cream samples, 2 Dear My Wish Lips-Talk Lipsticks and a Halloween Eyeshadow palette. All were useable and very fun items to try out, so I'm excited to show you the products and you can decide what you think of them. I decided to give your eyes a break from my usual essays of writing, and make it up in pictures (aka so busy with exams that I don't have too much time to write ahahha) :) Hope you are okay with that!

Here is the holy folder; the information pack. All their information is so nicely organised and it's obvious how much effort they put into all this! <3

1. Etude House BB Cream Samples
Ok, I'm just going to start off with the Etude House BB Cream Samples. They came in a pack of 3, with their different types of Precious Mineral BB Cream. They're perfect for a trip since they're so conveniently packaged together and for one-time use.

Where to buy?
Actually, exciting news is that Etude House recently opened their OWN online shop so you can get all your makeup direct from them now! It's exciting because you don't have to worry too much about whether the quality will be good or not, because it's all authentic Etude House makeup. The site is super cute so you can check it out here and find all BB Cream for around $15.

Information:
The Etude House BB Cream is one of Etude House's best sellers. They come in three different types of BB Cream: Blooming/Bright fit, Cotton fit and Perfect fit. AND THEN, within these types, there are different SHADES as well, for darker to lighter skin types. According to Etude House, Blooming fit comes with a 'slim layer fit formula', that helps you achieve clean, bright and smooth skin with a touch of sheen. The Cotton Fit is an all-day pearly bright skin BB Cream that provides clear and bright complexion with a smooth, cotton-like powdery finish. And finally, the Perfect fit comes with a 'double layer cover formula' to perfectly hide imperfections and smooth out uneven tones for smooth, bright and flawless skin. They are all effective in lightening the skin and I don't know how much of a difference there is between the products themselves, but its most important that you get the right shade for your skin tone or you'll end up looking a bit off.

Personal thoughts:
Ok so firstly, it's no real secret that Etude House BB Cream is my go-to makeup product. I've literally used it every single time I put on makeup, simply because it is so effective in covering up and lightening skin colour as well. It's amazing in quality and you can read more about it here, in my review for the Etude House Cotton Fit BB Cream, which is the type that I own. From what I've heard, the Cotton fit is a little drier than the Blooming fit so it can make dry skin look a little chalky. I'd advise those with super dry skin to use the Bright fit (which I'll be getting next after my Cotton Fit one gets used up) because it adds a pearly sheen to your skin. I've never had experience with the Perfect fit, but I'll let you know how this sample goes later on :) But yeah, I believe that these BB Creams are an essential in the makeup bag and at this time of year it could be put to good use for Halloween makeup as well.

This is my BB Cream, which I've been using for the past year. Still got heaps left and I use it so often!

2. Etude House Dear my Wish Lips-Talk
Ok now we are getting onto the main products, the good stuff :D This month I was super excited to receive TWO shades of the Lips-Talk range, which is a new lipstick range from Etude House. They're very delicate and sweet coloured lipsticks to create an elegant, princess look. Also, Krystal is the face of this particular product and I LOVE the ad for it featuring her.

Where to buy?
I'm not entirely sure why, but the Etude House Dear my Wish Lips-Talk aren't listed on their official site yet. However you can buy them here at KollectionK for $11.99!

Information:
The lipsticks have a soft, creamy texture with long lasting vivid colours. They contain Phytosqualane, helping to keep the lips moist with a high-gloss glow finish. They come in 10 shades, ranging from pale pinks to oranges and to dark purples. The two I received were quite different, one was the BE101 shade and the other was PK003. I'm not sure why the BE101 shade isn't shown in the photos below, which is pretty odd, but it's a peachy, almost nude colour. They both come in 3.5 g packaging with super cute exteriors. They look identical on the outside, with a simple bow around the middle and a beautiful pearly sheen.

Just had to take a few pics because they are SO CUTE! :D

Personal thoughts:
Ok I'm going to start with the BE101 shade. This was a lot lighter and less eye-catching than the other shade. It's perfect for daily wear, just to add a subtle glamour to the lips. It's also got a really nice, floral scent which is so divine to have on your lips. Perfect for hiding bad breath ahahah. What was really notable for me though was the effectiveness of application. These lip sticks are super creamy! Like they slide right on after just one stroke and they act as a moisturiser on top of that. After application, they don't make my lips too different, but they have added a bit of brightening effect and moistness to finish off a look. I'd match it with simple, light makeup because it complements that naturalness of the lip shade. Final thoughts are that it's very nice to use and it has potential to become a staple item in the future!

Personal thoughts:
And then onto the PK003 shade. This is very vivid and bright! It's not exactly red, but it's like a deep fuschia. I really love it because it gives me some doll/barbie tones and stands out SO MUCH on the lips. In contrast to the other shade, this one is so attention-grabbing and would be perfect for evenings out or parties. It's also got a similar floral scent and creamy texture so it's very easy to apply. You can see in the pics below that it is almost blinding in terms of colour and brightness, and I definitely think I'd be willing to purchase this for only $12.

Overall, these lipsticks were so cool and it was heaps of fun trying them on. I've never really been inclined to go for lipsticks, since usually I just apply some lip tint, but now I think I'll be using these a LOT more :D

3. Fantastic Colour Eyes - Bloody Halloween Palette
Could there be a more perfect time than now to receive the halloween eye palette? I think not. This palette features 6 shades of makeup for eyes and lips! It comes in two types: The Bloody Halloween palette complete with deep purples and reds and the Bohemian Palette that is full of golds and shimmers. I received the Etude House Halloween Palette (obviously lol) :3

Where to buy?
You can purchase this palette at KollectionK for $17 (lol, idk why but I always link to KollectionK, they don't sponsor me or anything though. Just the most convenient, trusted site I find on Google :P)

Information:
The Etude House Bloody Halloween Palette comes with the 6 shades above. They are all monster-themed and have some seriously awesome names (minus the spelling error for Halloween). The outside packaging is very cute, pink and black themed - kind of reminds me of that series 'Monster High' or something? It also comes with a lip colour, the Zombie Kiss, which is pretty dark and can be used as a really good lip tint. The lip compartment has 0.5g of lip product, whilst the eye shadows are 0.7g each. They're mostly shimmery, except for Witch Hunting, and add a nice sparkle to the eyes for a mysterious aura.

Personal thoughts:
This palette is excellent! It caters to all my dark makeup desires! My favourite shades would be the Bloody Burgundy, Pale and the Zombie Kiss. For the eye shadows, they are VERY strong when applied. You don't need to stroke the shadow palette too much to get a lot of colour. They seem firm and none have broken yet, which is a great sign. Secondly, I LOVE the lip product. It's honestly amazing, since it's a lot creamier than I expected. Using a lip brush, I could get a lot onto the brush without having to try too hard. Sometimes, lip palettes are a little hard and dry so you can hardly get any of it onto your lips. This is not the case for the Zombie Kiss product. It's nicely creamy and a gorgeous deep shade. Only surprise for me was how small this palette was. This is the full sized palette and each of the shades are a little too small. I would have liked them bigger so they could last longer. :(

I think the makeup is heaps different from what I usually do, but I'm loving the dark and smoky eye
etude house
So I've got the Halloween Night shade on the outer part of my eyelid and dabbled the inside corners of my eyes with the Pale shade for some shimmer. I also applied the Witch Hunting shade near the crease of my eyelids to add a bit more matte contour and emphasise double eyelids. Then I applied the Bloody Burgundy shade on my lower lash line for some colour. Finally, I'm wearing the Zombie Kiss lip :)

Oh yeah, they also sent me the second Etude House KBeauty Princess Manual, which is super informative and adorable. I accidentally picked up the first volume in the pic above, but the second one features Krystal on the front cover and it's got tutorials for Chic Cat Eyes vs. Charming Puppy Eyes. I'll try out the tutorials in here and post one up for you in the future :)

Thanks for sending me the box this month Etude House! The products are of the usual high standard and definitely something that I will use often.

Finally, just a little off topic but I've listed a couple of new items up on my shop www.alemonslife.storenvy.com. They include a Where's Wally t-shirt and a Sports Luxe two piece set <3 Hope you hop over there and check them out -->
