Etude House Summer Play101 Pencils Review + Giveaway!

By heylinni - 11:09 AM

Hi everyone! Here's another recent video that I released on my channel lately, reviewing the Etude House July Pink Box. You guys already know how often I review Etude House, because I'm an Etude House blogger and they send me Pink Boxes on a monthly basis :) I hope you do actually enjoy them and get excited whenever I share new products with you guys. I thought filming the review would spice up the reviews a bit, since you've got music and fun editing to keep you interested as well ^_^
Anyway, I guess it's probably good in this post to update you all on my life and blogging status a little bit as well, since I've been pretty on and off this whole year. 2015 has certainly been a slow start for me!! Posting once a month is pretty disappointing, but I promise, I'm trying! Just a whole lot has happened, including getting out of high school and starting uni. The adjustments been pretty difficult in terms of allocating a proper blogging schedule, and I don't have as much free time as I did in the past to take the time off to post :( However, now that I am in my second semester (the year has gone by so quickly :o), I feel kind of more prepared to get back into the groove of things. Also, I was working like 4 jobs in the beginning of the year, but now I realised that I am not some superhuman who can do that, as well as socialise, study and blog, so I've cut down a bit on that as well. All in all, it's been busy but enjoyable!!

Other updates were that I started a Youtube channel (obviously you know that since I've posted about it on this blog), put my online shop on hiatus, became a Soompi beauty writer (huge achievement!) and most recently, I was contacted about becoming a Memebox Ambassador! :D I'm so excited about the latest piece of news, since I'm a huge fan of Memebox products and now that I get to collaborate with with, it's like a dream come true :D

So that's kind of everything that's gone on in this past half year. Now, back to the Etude House July Review :) You can watch my unboxing video below ^_^ Please like, comment and subscribe - I'd love to know what you guys think of the new sound quality hehe

Just like last time's video, I'm going to list each of the beauty items shown and give you a little description about them:

1. Etude House Play101 Pencil - Summer Collection

These Etude House Play 101 Pencils are such a fave! They've been in the Etude House line for almost a year now, and these new summer pencils is so cute, bringing a refreshing, vibrant addition to the Play101 collection. They are currently $6.25 each on the Etude House website. There are 10 new shades in bright reds, blues, golds and greens, all evoking beautiful colours of spring. I received the #63, #64, #65, #66 and #69 pencils. They vary in glitter, shimmer and metallic.

This Wonder Pore skincare kit has always been on my wish list. It contains a bunch of popular skincare items for clear and even skin complexion. Whilst I received a sample kit, you can buy each of these full sized items individually.

The Wonder Pore Freshner is one of the main products within this kit. It can be bought in a 250mL bottle for $11.70 or in a 500mL bottle for $18.00. This is a multifunctional solution product to clean the pores, balance pH levels, purify, prevent skin troubles, moisturise etc. It is made of anti pore-dex complex and astringentlex for tightening pores effectively. I think it's super easy to apply because you just need a cotton pad to dab it on and clean your face with.

The Wonder Pore Deep Foaming Cleanser is a lovely, little cleanser for the price of $11.70. It deep cleanses pores and impurities because it contains these little blue beads that effectively remove accumulated sebum on skin. It has a visible change on skin, leaving it feeling smooth and clean. This cleanser is definitely an essential in a skincare regime and I highly recommend it :)

The Wonder Pore tightening essence is used as the third step in your skincare routine. It tightens pores for smoother and firmer skin. You typically apply it after using the clearing emulsion. By doing this, you gain a certain glow to your complexion and reduces signs of fatigue and ageing.

And finally, I had no idea what this clearing emulsion did at first. It's $14.40 on the Etude House website, and is used to organise pores with its fresh texture and light finish. Basically, it's an emulsion that is used after cleansing to clear out your pores and add that final touch in purifying your skin.

And finally, not posted here in photos, but can be seen in my video was the Etude House Lace makeup pouch, which is the key item in my GIVEAWAY :) Yup, it's a pretty small giveaway, but you also don't really have to do anything to enter. The prize is the Makeup pouch, filled to the brim with a bunch of my favourite Etude House skincare and haircare samples!
